Terms of Service & Agricultural Advisory Disclaimers
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms govern your use of the AgriBase platforms, educational resources, the Farmer Community mobile application, and professional advisory services provided under D & C – AgriBase Agricultural Consultancy (together, the "Service"). By submitting enquiries, requesting consultations, or using the site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope of Agricultural Advisory Services
D & C – AgriBase provides agronomic guidance, farm inspections, diagnostic opinions, irrigation audits, and technical training. Recommendations are formulated based on information, soil symptoms, photographs, or field observations provided by the farmer or observed during inspection.
Agricultural outcomes depend on numerous biological, weather, chemical, and physical factors beyond human control—including unseasonal rainfall, frost, hail, latent pathogens, seed vigor variability, and applicator calibration. Consequently, recommendations and farm reports are provided as professional guidance and cannot guarantee specific crop yields, financial margins, or complete pest eradication.
2. Booking and Quotation Policies
- Requests vs. Confirmations: Submitting a Farm Visit or Online Consultation form constitutes an initial booking request and does not guarantee an immediate confirmed appointment.
- Quotations: Farm visits require an official written quotation itemizing professional advisory fees and estimated travel costs. Quotations remain valid for 14 calendar days from issuance.
- Confirmation: An appointment becomes formally confirmed only when the farmer accepts the issued quotation and any required advance booking deposit is verified by our operations office.
3. Rescheduling and Cancellations
We understand that weather emergencies and harvesting priorities arise in agriculture:
- Rescheduling: Either party may reschedule an appointment with at least 24 hours advance notice without penalty, subject to mutual calendar availability.
- Cancellation: Cancellations made by the farmer less than 12 hours prior to scheduled consultant departure may be subject to a nominal vehicle preparation recovery fee if travel logistics were already initiated.
4. Limitation of Remote Diagnoses
Advice provided via online consultations or question reviews is based strictly on farmer-submitted descriptions and photographs. Some complex crop and livestock disorders (such as latent viral complexes, nematode infestations, subsoil hardpans, or pesticide residue toxicity) cannot be conclusively diagnosed remotely without physical soil testing, petiole analysis, or accredited laboratory pathology. When appropriate, our consultants will advise you to obtain certified laboratory testing.
5. Payment Terms and Transactions
Payments for fixed-price consultations or accepted farm visit quotations must be recorded through verified official company payment channels. D & C – AgriBase never requests credit card numbers or banking passwords via email. Always confirm payment instructions against your written quotation reference number.
6. Intellectual Property & Advisory Reports
Custom Farm Visit Reports and fertilizer programmes generated for a specific farm remain the property of the commissioning farmer for the operation of that farm. Educational guidebooks, tools, code, and calculator engines published on AgriBase remain the intellectual property of AgriBase.
7. Educational Tools & Calculators Disclaimer
AgriBase calculators (population, seed spacing, irrigation water depth, break-even profit) are decision aids intended for initial planning. Farmers must verify results against local extension recommendations, bag labels, and on-farm conditions.
8. Statutory Establishment Status
D & C – AgriBase is in preparatory establishment. Terms will be updated to reflect formal registrations upon completion.
